Hi guys,
This is my first time writing a blog and I’m so excited to share my journey with you here. I hope you enjoy reading and connecting with me. Please feel free to email me if you see something you like—or if you’d love a custom piece made just for you.
🎥 A Throwback to 4 Years Ago
Four years ago, I had the opportunity to be featured on Voice of America (VOA). At that time, I was still figuring out how to bring my passion for textile art into the world in a meaningful way. I was experimenting, learning, and trying to blend traditional South Asian techniques like batik, block printing, and silk painting into pieces people could wear and connect with.

That video feels like a time capsule. I remember the excitement of sharing my story with a bigger audience and the nervousness of being on camera. But most of all, I remember feeling so grateful that my art, something that began so personally and was resonating with others.
✨ Why That Moment Still Matters
In the video, I spoke about wearable art, how every scarf, wall hanging, or hand-painted piece carries its own story. I’ve always believed that what we wear isn’t just fabric; it’s memory, identity, culture, and emotion stitched or painted into something we carry with us.
That feature gave me confidence. It was a reminder that art has the power to connect across borders, languages, and styles.
🌱 How My Work Has Grown Since Then
Looking back now, so much has changed in these four years—both in my art and in me as a person.
• My designs have evolved: I’ve explored new colors, bolder patterns, and different ways to express movement on fabric.
My connection with people has deepened: Sharing my work at art shows has been such a meaningful experience. Meeting people face-to-face, hearing their stories, and seeing their reactions has only strengthened my desire to keep creating more.
• My philosophy has stayed steady: I still believe in slow-made, thoughtful art that resists fast fashion and instead brings care, beauty, and heritage into everyday life.
